BL Division (Bobbin-less/ Take-up）

There are two main methods of producing coils:
(1) The method to take up wire on bobbin.
(2) The method to take up wire without bobbin, and to harden the wire by adhesive, etc.
Each method has its merits and demerits and will be selected according to the purpose.

(1) This method is appropriate for mass-production, for its availability of coil-terminal processing, and the portability without generating flaws, etc.
The demerit is that an extra space is required for the bobbin.

(2) The merit of this method is the realization of thin, light and small size of coil, thanks to being bobbin-less, and the selectable winding width according to the wire diameter, which makes the perfect-layer winding easier.
The demerit is that the automation of the post process is difficult, for the coil terminals not retained.

BL Division mainly manufactures the machines to produce the coils by the method of (2).

These coils are used as the voice coil for such as cell-phones, the pick-up coil for CD/DVDs, VCM coil for hard discs, and the linear-motor coil, the clutch coil, etc., which are required to be light and compact. Some of them are so small that their windings cannot be recognized unless using the magnifier for noise filter.

The main machine models are BAS-01-30 and BAS-01-40, and a successor machine, BHS-01-50.
BHS-01-50 realizes the increased productivity by saving the winding cycle time as much as possible.
There is also the model BIF-0160, which can be connected to automatic assembly line of voice coil.
Adding to the coil production equipment, BL Division manufactures take-up machines and feeding machines featuring high-precision tension control, based on the Nittoku’s original technology of tensioners.
